How Important Is Nutrition? Part 1

How important is nutrition one may ask?

In the article “In Common”

We found several factors where nutrition played a great role.

Since then I’ve been blessed to learn how nutrition has a role in prevention, recuperation and recovery with almost every disease out there.

Not to mention fueling energy for athletic performance (Movement) and muscle.

Muscle and movement, in turn has a hand in immunity and longevity.

I have found that finding nutritional processes and systems that work for you or making changes with nutrition that work best for you, can help in a lot of ways.

Nutrition has done wonders in energy, immunity strength, cardiovascular stamina and the strength of seasonal allergies for me.

For example.

Let’s start off with dairy.

I’m not going to get into the dairy controversy.

For I still consume a little dairy.

Mostly in the form of yogurt and on the rare occasion certain cheeses.

But for me, when I decreased my dairy intake. The strength of my allergies during allergy season decreased.

Another eye opening situation was when I got a cavity, unfortunately.

In turn I began to decrease my sugar intake.

The interesting thing. Is that honey and maple syrup, didn’t bother my cavity (Though I don’t know the science. It doesn’t mean it still wasn’t doing damage to my tooth. All I know is, it didn’t cause pain, swelling or any burning feeling in my tooth).

Food that was high in refined sugar did bother my tooth. Along with certain fruits but not all.

Both situations were very eye opening for me.

Another observation.

As my wife and I increased our vegetable intake. Namely salads with dark green leaves, sometimes with spinach mixed. We became more regular in our elimination.

That’s a great benefit in getting certain substances out of your body, that shouldn’t linger or be there to long.

Combine all this with proper hydration, proper food combining for you, movement and sleep.

Creates a atmosphere for a body that can operate internally and externally at full strength. Even in the face of adversity (Sickness, injury or what have you).

In the next writing, some contributors will be sharing there thoughts.
