“Why Get a Personal Trainer? Part 1”
I read an email, sent by a lady named Ms. Jill Hart about investing in your business (Economically) wise.
On how it’s very worth it and can help you with your success.

Upon reading it I said to myself.
“What if people took this approach with their health?”.
For it’s one of the most important factors in their life (Besides their belief system, their higher power or whatever they may believe in).
For the most part, we take are health for granted unless we had health challenges early in life or health challenges later.
This is one of the things that led to the writings, “Why We’re Unhealthy”.

Personal Trainers can be a great part of your wellness journey and wellness team. Along side your Primary Care Physician and Nutritionist.
In seeking a personal trainer there are a few things you should know.
The field is not regulated nationwide really. Local states I’m not sure, so ask your local government and investigate it for yourself.
Most people don’t care anyway.
Most people just want results. Can you get me from A-to-Z fitness wise, certified, and qualified or not.
You find certified people who don’t know what they’re doing and uncertified people who do sometimes (I prefer certified, but an entrepreneur does not have to be. They just must be insured, liability insurance that is and maybe others. So, check if they are).
So just be careful and do your homework before you write your check or pay in any form.
1. Do they have references?
2. Do they have paperwork (Insurance for themselves, a certification that isn’t expired and health questionnaire for you)?
3. Do they listen more than talk?
4. Do they do any type of assessment with you before designing or setting up a workout program (To look into different type of assessments. Look at http://www.exrx.net, NASM overhead squat assessment, Brookbush Institute overhead squat assessment, FMS/Functional Movement Screen, Chek Institute Assessments, OPTbooks, NPI, OPEXfit and a few other certifications have forms of assessments)
Sometimes personal trainers will just observe how you move when you do certain exercises and in general.
5. Make sure they are professional in a way a PT, DC, MD, ND or ATC would be to name a few (Such as being respectful, confidential with your paperwork and personal business to start with)
Lastly, they have to seem like a match for you. If not, seek another Certified Personal Trainer, go somewhere else or even ask them to refer you to someone else (If asked right, no offense should be taken)

We sometimes think of personal training as something that we have to do long term.
No.
One can do it short term or even in a small group which decreases the cost.
But I will say this, hospitals are not going to give us a discount. So, let’s do what we can to stay out of the hospital.
I’m thankful hospitals are around. But the less we got to be there the better. Unless it’s for something good like a check-up, birth of a child or help with something that we could do nothing about. Preventable or otherwise. So again, glad hospitals are around.
Personal training can be a great part of your investment in your own health.

This all being said. I wanted to have some professionals speak on the benefits of personal training. Even if you do personal training for a short period of time.
In “Why Get a Personal Trainer? Part 2”. You will hear from some of these Certified Personal Trainers (CPT’s) themselves, on how they can help you have a life of vitality and functionality.
